No dice. The formail pipe is still treated as new mail from root. I've
looked over the sendmail man page several times and I don't see anything
that would make it use the existing headers and just forward it to a new
address. I may have to consult O'Reiley's Sendmail Tome. :) I wish there
was a "bounce" program that could take a formail pipe and dump the input to
a new address just as if the mail was still on its original SMTP journey.
Would there be a way to take the formail pipe and inject that into
sendmail's queue with a new destination, like how the .forward file sends
incoming mail off to an external address? Does anybody see what I'm talking
about? I believe its procmail that interprets .forward. How does it
reinvoke sendmail to do this?
