There is some problem with the mail group i think.
(flo@paradigm)~# ls -lad /var/spool/mail/
drwxrwsr-x 2 root mail 1024 Sep 26 15:35 /var/spool/mail/
(flo@paradigm)~# ls -lad /var/spool/mail/flo
-rw-rw---- 1 flo mail 813438 Sep 26 11:08 /var/spool/mail/flo
All mailbox accessing utilities if NOT root should be sgid mail ... Are they ?
