I was going to look at the squid package again this summer, possibly catch-up with newer non-IPv6 versions and eventually fix some bugs that have been reported. The package I made last summer includes a set of patches which changed some of the configuration syntax compared to the official IPv6 branch of squid 2. I sent them to the squid developers back then, but I do not know if they actually went into the official release. Please, let me know if you are going to make a patch or if you have any questions.
