VIC and RAT with IPv6

Hi everybody,

I want to use vic and rat with ipv6 on my debian box.

Concerning vic, i use the debian package, i installed
with apt-get install vic.when i launch it from the
command line, it works well, but when i lauch it from
sdr i get the following error message, although sdr
seems to work well:

visio1:/home/lamine/sdr6# ./sdr
V4l: trying /dev/video0... open: No such device
V4l: trying /dev/video1... open: No such device
V4l: trying /dev/video2... open: No such file or
directory
V4l: trying /dev/video3... open: No such file or
directory
vic-2.8ucl-1.1.3: tcl runtime error: vic: vic_main

"vic_main"
Please mail this error message and, if possible, an
explanation
of what user-action caused it to vic@cs.ucl.ac.uk.

Concerning rat, i have build it from source performing
the following steps:

# cd common
# ./configure --enable-ipv6
# make
# apt-get install tcl8.0-dev
# apt-get install tk8.0-dev
# cd ../rat
# ./configure --enable-ipv6
# make
# make install

Now, when i launch rat from the command line with an
ipv4 address, it works fine. But when i use an ipv6
address (for which it was built), i get the error
message:

visio1:~# rat -n ipv6 ff0e::2:aaaa/6543
Can't resolve IP address for ff0e::2:aaaa: No such
file or directory
Can't resolve IP address for -n: No such file or
directory
Usage: rat [options] -t <ttl> <addr>/<port>
Invalid address: -nUsage: rat [options] -t <ttl>
<addr>/<port>
visio1:~#

Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Lamine
