Odd Errors logged to console after kernel recompile

Folks,

I have never seen anything like this before but so far it has happened
twice after installation. I installed Debian on a zx6000 and it was at
kernel 2.4.17. I downloaded the source from kernel.org and the patch and
recompiled. After recompiling the source and rebooting I got error
messages logged to the screen in the following manner. These are all
examples, each error varies greatly.

</CODE>

That is just a sample from /var/log/messages.

Any assistance with suppressing these errors (or direction as to what
they are caused by OR if they are important) would be great.

Cheers,
