Package: debian-i18n Severity: wishlist I downloaded the Debian Testing KDE CD and installed it with norwegian bokmål as a language. This leads to norwegian being used some places but also causes for instance apt to give me messages in a mix of swedish, danish and norwegian. I'd be more than happy to help translate and write norwegian messages where danish/swedish is found. thegimp also ended up with nynorsk as a language and not bokmål. Regards Jon Jahren -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nb_NO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

Norwegian is one of the very few languages for which this is done, but that's mostly because we've always been explained that nb, da and sv are mutually intelligible. --Attachment: signature.asc
