I'm afraid colons are a formal part of the official package version system
in Debian. The part before the colon is called the "epoch" [1].
It does not really matter what file names you use (although the forward
slash is very unfortunate as it is the directory separator in Linux, so it
would be better to use something else).
But you should make sure that when you file bugs for your translation
updates that the version number in the bug report contains the full
version including epoch and colon.
