"chose" is correct, it is the past tense of "choose". And only after
choosing it (hence past tense) the options will be passed.

Well, Christian is very diligent to collect them here, but generally a
bug report is the best way (using reportbug and CC: the bug to
Christian if he'd worked or might have worked on the template
recently).
