It is certainly quite late for this, but Serbian is definitely a
language where someone should work to translate our installer.

It is indeed one of the very very last languages from Europe we don't
have...:-)
(should I say that we have Croatian, Slovenian, Bosnian, Macedonian,
Albanian already? :-))

It will certainly be late for Debian lenny...but bette rlate than
never.

I suggest you to have a look at http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/doc/i18n
to understand how this works.

Working to translate the installer is indirectly working for better
support of your language in Debian.

That require a longstanding commitment. This is not a "one-shot" work,
as amny people around will testify. However, it can help building a
localization community for more general Debian stuff in your
language....as many people around will also testify..:-)
