Sorry, I hope I can read today all -18n@ and -ddtp@ Mails.

But to answer your question:
   
   write a mail to pdesc@ddtp.debian.net with the subject 
     GET 1 ja
   to get a untranslate ja-Description and send the translation later
   back to the same address.

   I test this only for 'de', but other languages should work too.
