Bug#355994: kernel-package: Please allow for translatable debconf templates in created packages
Package: kernel-package
Version: 10.036
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n
The current packages created by kernel-package cannot actually be
translated, as far as I know (please correct me if I'm wrong).
This results in kernel packages always displaying an English-speaking
debconf note when it needs to warn the local administrators when isntalling
a new kernel.
I CC the debian-i18n mailing list as there is a chance that the package
maintainer might need help here because this is not "only" a "please use
po-debconf" bug report --> kernel-package has indeed to put translated
templates in created packages...
