I also want to update a few higher level files since German level 1 is up
to date.

I remembered that I once got access to a few projects such as tasksel, ...
Nevertheless I noticed that the Alioth page for e.g. tasksel 
(http://alioth.debian.org/projects/tasksel/) is
completely useless since there is no link to SVN. base-config has a
empty CVS repository which refused me.

So I followed now your link more successfully, thanks.

Nevertheless ch01s04.html#shadow-level2 contains
svn+ssh://<alioth_login>@<alioth_username>@svn.debian.org/svn/tasksel/trunk
which is obviously wrong ("<alioth_login>@" should be dropped).
