[D-I] Debian Installer etch beta1 release due soon
The meeting of the Debian Installer team which was held on September
17th (http://wiki.debian.net/?DebianInstallerMeetings) decided that
the first beta of the Debian Installer for the future Debian release
(codename etch) will occur as soon as possible.
THERE WILL BE NO STRING FREEZE AND NO TRANSLATION "catchup" period.
Indeed, the packages strings have been more or less "frozen" for a
while and cautious translators should be very close to 100% if not
already reaching it.
So, HURRY UP to update your level 1 translations, you only have about
2 weeks left before translation updates are uploaded for all packages.
I repeat here that I am a bit worried about the many translations
which haven't been updated since August 1st:
I expect a PRIVATE message from all translators of these languages
saying me "OK, ACK, I will update". For those from which I won't get
any reply, I'll be forced to ping you by mail which I really shouldn't
have to do....:-(
