GIMP and Bash are only parts of GNU.

There's no arrogance. It's just the way it was *decided* to be called
dozens of years ago, and there's no technical way it can change
nowadays.
I'll just stop participating to that thread any more, as Richard said
it's just bikeshedding (even less than that, actually, since it can't
even change).
