Re: netdde by default?

Hello,

I have uploaded a hurd package which now depends on netdde. As
expected, things are smooth: your pfinet translator should get upgraded
into using /dev/eth* instead of eth*, and that gets to be translated
back to the kernel driver. To actually enable netdde, either switch
to some network device which is not supported by gnumach, or pass the
nonetdev option to gnumach, e.g. putting it in GRUB_CMDLINE_GNUMACH in
/etc/default/grub.

Good news is that it works with isc-dhcp too (dhclient -v /dev/eth0), as
well as in the installer.
