Re: Fresh and updated qemu image

Hi Jose,

Trouble:

"The file owner's account has reached maximum download bytes.

Please contact the user who shared the file to you and ask him to upgrade; If he is a DriveHQ group member user, he can contact the group admin."

I have problem installing in a Qemu box on my OS X box and would like to try your image just to check whether there is any odd problem with L1 or of it is just my qemu that need to get a fix.

Cheers,
Tim

Hello.

I was preparing an up to date Debian GNU/Hurd qemu image. Based on
existing debian-hurd-k16-qemu.img, only boot this image and did
several upgrades til aptitude "did nothing". My idea was "better less
intervention as possible".

This image was prepared saturday, April 17, 2010, late night.

Please, can you tell me if Debian Proyect and/or GNU/Hurd Team can and
want host this qemu image for keep it available (for a while)?. My
idea is people who try Debian GNU/Hurd through qemu need a system
newer than k16 image (2007).

Let me know what you think, please.

Thanks very much, in advance.

Regards.

Jose.

There is an L1 image at http://ftp.debian-ports.org/debian-cd/.

Phil

Hi Phil.

L1 is a common installation iso, not a specific qemu img file. I think my
last night effort can be very useful for "qemu approach" people, like myself.

Thank you, very much.

Regards.

Jose.

The image can be downloaded from this link:

http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/jlalarcon/PublicFolder/debian-hurd-17042010-qemu.img.tar.gz

People who try it, please make your comments.

Regards.

Jose.
