i reinstalled the whole system and did the following steps:

commented all the entries in sources.list and added 

deb http://snapshot.debian.net/2007/07/31/debian unstable main

did `apt-get update && apt-get install hurd=20070606-2`

apt complained about dependencies running `apt-get install -f`installed
netbase and then `apt-get install hurd=20070606-2` installed hurd, gnumach
and ligc0.3 packages.

after that i removed the snapshot lone from sources.list added the debian
and gnuab lines and `apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade` went fine
(after installing gnuab gpg key of course).
