AW: AW: how to update /hurd/ext2fs?
/hurd looks fine:
mziegler@hurd:~$ ls -ld /hurd
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 24 02:34 /hurd
ext2fs and ext2fs.static are the only both files that could not be accessed:
mziegler@hurd:~$ ls -l /hurd/e*
ls: /hurd/ext2fs: Permission denied
ls: /hurd/ext2fs.static: Permission denied
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 315400 Mar 24 02:28 /hurd/exec
So i will reinstall the system and start from a fresh (never crashed :-)
filesystem.
Thank you very much,
- Michael

Ah sorry, even "ls" told me "Permission denied" on ext2fs and
ext2fs.static. I have thought that running ext2fs as an active
translater may be the problem but now i think it's only a
filesystem inconsistency in my installation?
Check the permissions on /hurd.
