Booting Hurd with a serial console

Being a Hurd newbee, I might have overlooked something here..

Anyway: is it possible to boot Debian Hurd using a serial console? I've
searched for it and tried adding -h CONS_COM=1 BAUD=38400 to the
kernel=... line in grub, but to no avail.

Even if it is not possible to display the boot messages on a serial cnosole,
can I get a console after the bootup on a serial line that I can log into?
