alpha.gnu.org is down due to a security compromise (I think). Unless
somebody ran a mirror of it (anybody?), there's no way to
install/upgrade a debian GNU/Hurd system right now. Some important
packages are on alpha.gnu.org (because the contain hacks which are not
suitable for the main debian archive).

That's bug #203086. Jeff is on vacation right now, but as alpha.gnu.org
is down anyway, there's no rush in fixing this right now.

That's probably because a newer version of coreutils is supposed to be
on alpha.gnu.org. The testsuite of coreutils does not run smoothly,
that's why there's no updated debian package on ftp.debian.org right
now.

See above, alpha.gnu.org is not available. I'm not happy with the
