As far as I know, this is correct... can you see on the NFS server logs
if a request is done or not ?

I used the NFS translator this week-end for a couple of minutes; it worked
for me.

The syntax is;
settrans /debian /hurd/ftpfs / ftp.de.debian.org

Try /hurd/ftpfs --help for more informations.
