Re: easier install ideas

Combining Jeff's idea and the question that Mark Brown recently posed
(about getting access to a Hurd box to test something) I got the following
idea. Is it possible that someone gives public (restricted?, anonymous?)
access to his/her Hurd box for Newb's like me who are interested in the
Or does this provide possible hackers with too good a platform that they
can execute their evil schemes from?

Steven.

Yes i would say it would be a target that hackers could use to hack from but the main problem will be geting a box that will have high anoth bandwith to do it with... if u just let anyone telnet in and use it youll get loads of ppl useing it... but then agin you might not.
If it was just a telnetable box that developers who want there program ported to hurd (but dont want to install it) could use. Then that would have alot less traffic and less missuse, maybe... but who would offer there box up for that? and how would the developers arrange to get an account?
