Oh yeah, I also get this from aptitutde when it goes to install:
dpkg: error processing /gnu/var/local/apt-hurd/archives/bsdutils_1%3a2.10f-5.1_hurd-i386.deb (--unpack): package architecture (hurd-i386) does not match system (i386)

Ack! Something bad happened while installing packages. Trying to recover:
Hell I should just be able to install by hand using --force-depends from the
HURD, eh.
