When speaking about GRUB, I have a possibly stupid question: Are there
any plans to extend GRUB to support other architectures? I imagine
there has to be huge differences in the actual boot code, but it would
be a win to have similar user interface and configuration files across
platforms.

I'm using SILO to boot my sparc station, and it has some similarities
to GRUB, e.g. reading config files and kernel from a regular ext2
filesystem.
