debconf dont want to configure itself

I upgraded my Hurd last night.
There is one problem :

# dpkg -i debconf_0.3.53.deb
(Reading database ... 8543 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace debconf 0.3.53 (using debconf_0.3.53.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement debconf ...
Setting up debconf (0.3.53) ...
debconf: failed to initialize frontend: Dialog
debconf: falling back to frontend: Slang
debconf: failed to initialize frontend: Slang
dpkg: error processing debconf (--install):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10
Errors were encountered while processing:
 debconf
#

And many packages depend on debconf.

Any known way to fix it ?
