HURD Installation woes
Hello,
I downloaded the dpkg package for non Debian machines,
(dpkg_1.4.1.1_i386.nondebbin.tar, and dpkg_1.4.1_hurd-i386.nondebbin.tar),
installed them and set the path correctly, and ran cross-install as
directed by Marcus, but still cross-install gives the error message "dpkg
did return unusual messages, please investigate", and the install.log file
contains 87 entries saying
"pathname"/dpkg-hurd:"[": too many arguments
(pathname refers to the path of execution of cross-install and dpkg-hurd).
and quits. Please help me, I've been trying to install HURD since quite a
long time for now.
(I use a Redhat Linux 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36-0.7), on a standalone Pentium-166
Mhz machine).
