stuck on exec server (was Re: Hurd packages uploaded)

I did install libc6-dev.  (btw, there doesn't look to be any reason
not to use deb_install for libc6-dev.  Is there any?)

Aw, come on, you're doing a great job!  Did I mention that my hurd
partition straddles the 500MB line and I have one of those old
controllers?  Once when I untarred a hurd onto it, it couldn't boot
because boot/gnumach was (I guess) beyond 500MB.  Now I'm kind of
assuming that I wouldn't get this far if that were a concern this
time.  (I have gotten as far as sh and emacs with an earlier hurd.)
