libc6 2.3.5-3 crashes 3.0.14a-6

The kernel is custom build.
$ grep model /proc/cpuinfo

$ dpkg -s libc6 samba | grep "^Version:"

Version: 3.0.14a-6
After doing "apt-get update ; apt-get dist-upgrade"
this morning the machine crashed with a kernel panic.
kernel BUG at mm/mmap.c:1937!
