This should already be enabled in the 2.6.8.1 kernel that
you got from debian.org.

You can verify if it is (or is not) enabled in the debian
kernel by looking at the matching /boot/config-* file.
If should have the CONFIG options you posted.

See the "How to build a kernel" link on www.parisc-linux.org page.
But you don't yet want to start building your own kernels.
Rather see if a newer kernel is available from debian.org.
