Re: [parisc-linux] no login with 2.6 kernel and Mozilla probs on 712/60
There are a couple of issues here:
a. My 712/100 no longer has a functioning PS/2 keyboard in 2.6
Ah, so you have the same problem. I thought I was just plain stupid.
b. No Mozilla port for hppa exists. You can't run mozilla under
hppa.
I will work on fixing 'a' this weekend. The latter 'b' is much more
difficult, and even with Randolphs help with libffi debianization of
mozilla, we still don't have a running mozilla. I started some work on
this but got sidetracked.
Strange. Galeon used to work a while ago (and as far as I understand, Galeon
is based on some Mozilla libraries). But after doing an apt-get upgrade (I
think this was a year ago or something) all of the sudden it stopped working
:( The main reason why I want to use my 712 is surfing and reading mail. And
dillo is not an option ;)
The first will surely get fixed, because I want my 712/100 to work.
I'll see if I can get someone else to verify the problem.
I'm compiling the most recent 2.4 right now. So for now, I'll keep using
that one.
Thanks for looking into these issues.
regards,
Kenneth
