Now that I logged back into the machine, I
gathered some more information.
I'm using the 2.4.22-pa12 kernel. I notice pa13 just appeared, it has a 3k diff, mostly with assembly and low level. It's a 2.4 kernel in October 2003, do I really need the newer one from a few days ago? (I'll patch from diff when I compile the new version) http://cvs.parisc-linux.org/download/linux-2.4/?M=D Thanks. 30208000 bytes, dated Oct 20 08:47 for linux-2.4.22-pa12.tar.bz2. 6ac4ead72d4edfa764ec0fbd647c4cae is the md5sum of the download.
