make-kpkg clean ; CC=gcc-3.3 make-kpkg --revision 2.4.20.carlos.1 kernel_image
I just noticed that it affects the content of conf.vars but is not recursively
passed to Makefiles within the linux/ directory. They all still use 'gcc'.
