Re: D370 debian installation problem

Thanks matthew,

Unfortunately I'm unable to test your answer (although I'm sure your right), as per sod's law as soon as I went to test it, I had to switch the machine off as it was hanging from the last attempt. When it rebooted I got FLT3000 errors on the LCD, which from my HP-UX knowledge means that the CPU board is knackered. As this machine isn't under hp support, I've downloaded the hardware manual from hp and I'll be getting my screwdriver set out ready to take it apart. I'm hoping that by reseating the board it may spring back into life (fat chance!!). Thankfully I've found another D350 and a D220 laying around and I'll be trying them in the next couple of days.

If anyone has CPU board for a D370 laying around I would be interested (uk only).

Anyway thanks again Matthew.

regards

Elliot.

Yup. If you have the remote console card installed, it's ttyB0 instead
of ttyS0. You could also pull the card out ;-)
