I don't know. it "Just Worked" (tm).

Check the "apt-cache" man page to see if it uses an "available" file.
If so, then you need to run "dselect" (use update option) or figure
out which apt-FOO command will update the available file.

Yes. "SMP" == Symetrical Multi-Processing. You want w/o -smp.

"apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.20-32" should do it.
If it doesn't, send more mail to debian-hppa with apt-get output
and/or boot output if appropriate.
