I'm pretty happy with 2.4.20 kernels on c3000 right now.

lifimage-<kernel.org version>-<parisc kernel sequence#>-<datecode>

I can only reccomend picking up a 2.4.20 ISO like
	lifimage-2.4.20-pa18-20030108.gz

The 2.4.20-pa18 kernels should work fine on the B1000.
