Well I think you're right - that i need to tell Linux various stuff in order
to
be visible on the monitor - but since I'm a total rookie I don't have any
clue
what should be done....
Linux comes up with this message :
[quote]
Branching to kernel entry point 0x00100000. If this is the last
message you see, you may need to switch your console. This is
a common symptom -- search the FAQ and mailing list at parisc-linux.org

Which then in fact is the last message I see.....

So off course I'm really looking forward to getting the hint that makes my
monitor alive - my plans are to install debian linux i386 on a pc today
- maybe I'll then come closer to the solution :-)
I really think that computing hasn't been >this< fun for a lot of years :-)

As to the version number I'm not really sure, it is the last edition "woody"
the prompt says : "Debian GNU/Linux 3.0" suppose it's version 2.2.3.0 ??

> B.Douglas Hilton : Please keep me posted if/when you get your C200
gfx up and running - I'll off course do the same :-)

Happy Computing !
