  Three options

Try serial console

Try booting with "video=stifb:off" as an additional parameter to palo
(havn't tried this myself, but it might work)

Try a newer ISO (official woody, or one from
http://pateam.esiee.fr/download.html), and maybe boot it with
"nolangchooser".
