Some month ago I build my own dpkg of cdrecord with alpha release of cdrtools
sources 1.11a08 (because with this Joerg fixes problems of gcc-3.0).
Today I update this pakage with release 1.11a12 and dpkg-buildpackage failled
with following message:
tar: ./usr/share/man/man8/devdump.8.gz: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
dpkg-deb: subprocess tar -cf returned error exit status 2
dpkg-deb: building package `mkisofs' in `../mkisofs_1.11a12-jso0_hppa.deb'.
dh_builddeb: command returned error code
make: *** [mkisofs] Error 1
in fact the file ./usr/share/man/man8/devdump.8.gz in debian subdir well exist
but it is a link to an non-existing file.
What is wrong (kernel, perl, ...)?
I build exactly the same package on my i386 without problem.
On the two platform stand debhelper 3.0.51.
On i386 I am running a kernel 2.4.14
On the hppa I do the test with two kernel: 2.4.9-pa82 (the one in debian pool)
and my own 2.4.16-pa16.
Also on hppa, yesterday evening I do a apt-get dist-upgrade which do nothing
If I do a tar of this directory it finished well with a warning code (exit 2?)
but if I had the same warning on my i386 it does not failled dpkg-buildpacakage.
Thanks in advance for advises,
