So, this is not the git-annex bug tracker, which is where design work on
git-annex happens, not in a distro's bug tracker. Also, you seem to be
requesting different changes at different points in this thread.

Result is kind of annoying to me, so I'm out, at least 
until a reasonable bug report gets filed in the git-annex bug tracker.
