thanks for bringing this up. I don’t think anybody looked into it in
detail yet. You could start by reproducing the problem locally. Maybe
it is actually unrelated to GCC.

You could then check if there are new upstream versions of haskell-gtk
or gtk2hs-buildtools that might fix the issue.

It would also be interesting to see the code that GHC (not gcc!)
stumbles over.

Maybe you can solve the problem this way.
