So if there is some source file mentioning a copyright that is not covered by LICENSE or .cabal, it also needs to got to debian/copyright. Since I hope to auto-generate debian/copyright in the future, in that case it would be useful to file a bug with upstream, so that eventually we can rely on the information in .cabal. > Also, should I leave the "All rights reserved." included at the top of > their BSD license? I believe it’s not part of the license text, but it probably doesn’t matter. > I also choose to include Joey as the Upstream-Contact on torrent because > he is the Maintainer in the cabal file. Is this correct? Yes. I have no idea what this Upstream-Contact is supposed to be good for, so I don’t really care :-) > Should I also add a new changelog entry in this case? That link misses some paste id :-) Probably http://paste.debian.net/137523 Try installing libghc-cabal-dev (but if you want, then please separately report a bug with the output of "ghc-pkg list Cabal" via github). > However, I know those licenses do > exist in the Cabal source but I did not have time to investigate > further. No hurry, this is all very experimental (OTOH, more hands helping making it not so experimental would be welcome). > Thanks for the heads up. I've fixed these issues (hopefully).
