Dear team, a long time ago we decided not to force Darcs upon all of us, because the git fraction of the DHG was relatively large. Since then, people have come and gone, and it seems to me that this has changed: Of the following 25 packages maintained in git, only 6 have been uploaded to experimental so far $ ssh git.debian.org ls /git/pkg-haskell/ agda-bin.git agda.git allpackages.git bustle.git ftphs.git haskell-bloomfilter.git haskell-configfile.git haskell-convertible.git haskell-edit-distance.git haskell-github.git haskell-hsh.git haskell-network-info.git haskell-network-multicast.git haskell-safesemaphore.git haskell-testpack.git haskell-uri.git hdbc.git hdbc-odbc.git hdbc-postgresql.git hdbc-sqlite3.git hoauth.git hslogger.git ldap-haskell.git magic-haskell.git missingh.git $ for pkg in $(ssh git.debian.org ls /git/pkg-haskell/|grep git|cut -d. -f1); do rmadison -s experimental $pkg; done haskell-configfile | 1.1.1-1 | experimental | source haskell-network-info | 0.2.0.1-3 | experimental | source haskell-network-multicast | 0.0.6-2 | experimental | source haskell-safesemaphore | 0.9.0-2 | experimental | source hslogger | 1.2.1+dfsg1-1 | experimental | source missingh | 1.2.0.0-1 | experimental | source The others are sitting there and holding up a considerable share of other depending packages. I know that Darcs is not a silver bullet, but it it seems to work for those who do the work, at the moment. Also, several VCSes just cause extra work. So unless the remaining 19 packages have been uploaded to experimental soon, (say, within a week), I’ll convert these repositories to darcs repository and do the upload myself. If I am stepping on someone’s toes this way, then please excuse me: I do not meant to hurt you, just to get you moving.
