Hi,
debchange offers a way to give full new versions on the command line
(--new-version) or to derive a new version from the name of the
directory (--fromdirname). What I am missing is a way to rely on
debchange’s logic of handling -1 and epoch version numbers, as present
in --fromdirname, but giving the upstream version as a command line. I’d
like to use that in scripts for the Debian Haskell Group.
I might provide a patch for this when I get around, but I wanted this
ideat to be noted down first.
