I believe so.

I put haskell-devscripts 0.8.2 in unstable, and building ghc right now.
Not sure how far I’ll get with the libraries.

Anyways, stuff will get stuck in NEW because of the renaming.

If you upload the libraries, you might want to bump the
haskell-devscripts dependency to >= 0.8, just for clarity.

FYI. I filed [0] about the FTBFS I mailed about earlier in the week,
since nobody replied. I figured that since it was a compiler bug in
OCaml to generate invalid c/asm, then it's probably one in GHC
too. We'll see what upstream says, but just be aware when you see
these build failures.

Did you ask the release team for approval for this transition?
