There are instructions on how we are using Darcs for haskell packages

You'll notice that used this way, we only keep the debian/ directory
in revision control. To me, this just seems easier and more straight
forward.

AFAIAC darcs is more like SVN than git. When I started packaging haskell
stuff in the group, I had used git but not darcs. After having used both
in the way recommeded by the debian haskell packaging docs, I find darcs
far easier.

If you are want to go with darcs, I'll pull the stuff from your alioth
directory and set it up in darcs. I will also offer to help you through
the review process (keep in mind that I am a DM, not a DD).
