Miriam,
I had a look the the haskell SDL bindings you have there. There were a
couple of minor problems:
0) The *.diff.gz file you have there are full of package build artifacts
(config.log and other cruft). I think these is actually an artifact of
how you built the packages.
1) Missing debian/watch file (all the debian-haskell-mainatiner packages
have one).
2) Section fields in the Package sections (Section only belongs in the
Source section).
3) Missing doc-base file debian/libghc6-sdl-doc.doc-base.
After fixing 1, 2 and 3 above, I followed the instructions here:

I pushed the haskell-sdl packages to:
http://darcs.debian.org/darcs/pkg-haskell/haskell-sdl
I also tweaked the control file slightly pulling it into line with the
rest of the group packages.
I'll get the rest done over the next day or two.
