pandoc - debian packager wanted

Is anybody out there interested in packaging pandoc and its dependencies
zip-archive and highlighting-kate?

A bit of background: I'm the upstream developer of these libraries, but
I'm not a debian developer. Up through version 0.46, pandoc was a native
debian package, which I maintained together with debian developer Recai
Oktaş. After 0.46, Recai and I agreed that it would be better to make
pandoc a non-native package, and I removed the debian directory from
subsequent releases on HackageDB. But Recai has told me that he no
longer has the time to work on pandoc, and that he intends to orphan the
package. The latest debian release is 0.46; pandoc is now up to 1.2.
It would really be great if someone could take over maintenance of the
debian packages; I'd help in any way I can. Pandoc now has a pretty
standard Cabal-based build, so packaging it shouldn't be too different
from packaging any other Haskell library.

Any takers?

John
