How's progress going with this?

I see that on Unstable there is a libghc6-quickcheck2-dev and that
attempts to install libghc6-quickcheck-dev results in a message to
install libghc6-quickcheck2-dev.

As others have said thats probably not right. It may however
make sense to have libghc6-quickcheck2-dev provide
libghc6-quickcheck-dev so that existing package won't break.
I'm not sure how many of these there are.
