This sounds suspiciously like the flaky MMC/SD driver issue (see "known
issues" on http://pocketworkstation.org ), have you been writing to disk
when the crashes occured?

In my case the problem went away with more expensive SD cards (i.e.
Panasonic), and later by switching to the SL-C750 which apparently has a
better driver.
