I've been getting interested in packet again after a many year hiatus,
but I don't know whether it will lead to using this package.  That said,
if upstream is still being maintained, albeit slowly, then I think it is
useful that this package be in the archive.

The patches in 664936 look reasonable to me but I'm not a DD.

Also, bug # 603282 seems fairly easily resolved as it concerns
upstream's config files not being included in the Debian package.
